A Fateful (K)night

A Fateful (K)night is a Narrative Game where you must make choices to save your captured sister, facing whatever consequences may come from those choices.

HOW TO PLAY THE GAME:

Your Story Pool

Players start the game with ten (10) standard six-sided dice (d6) in their Story Pool.

Each time a check is made (see below), deduct the number of dice used from the total in the Story Pool.

 

DICE ROLLING EVENTS

Some story choices will require you to successfully pass a check to proceed with the chosen plot line.

The player selects any number of dice they choose and roll them, totaling the sum.

 

Using Additional Dice

If a player fails their first roll during a check, they may choose to roll one additional dice and add that number to their sum to beat the number stated in the check.

 

Success or Failure

If the sum exceeds the target number stated in the game text, the check is successful. If it is less than or equal to the target number, then the check fails.

Click on the corresponding icon to continue with the narrative experience.

 

Recovering Dice

When a player successfully passes a check, add +1 dice back to the Story Pool.
